About Me
Hello and welcome!
I’m Coach Lisa. I’m a National Exercise and Sports Trainers Association (NESTA) Certified Personal Trainer and NESTA Certified Sport Yoga Instructor with a passion for helping women over 50 transform their health and bodies.
I’m based in Morgan Hill, California. In this post-COVID world, however, I’m offering both in-person, COVID-compliant Personal Training to select clients in the Bay area (Morgan Hill, Gilroy, Campbell and Los Gatos) as well as online Virtual Personal Training on Zoom.
I provide fitness assessments, accountability, nutritional guidance and support, and monthly exercise calendars to help you meet your fitness goals.
Before starting my own fitness business, I worked as a Personal Trainer at 24- Hour Fitness in San Jose, California. I also did group Bootcamp workouts at The Camp Transformation in San Jose.
My exercise philosophy is simple.
I believe that fitness is for all of us, at every age and every stage of our lives. Strength and fitness is not just for the young, the athletic, or those without challenges.
We all need strength, mobility, and balance throughout our lives to live well and live independently for as long as possible.
As women over 50, our fitness needs are different from when we were in our 20s. Many of us have injuries or health issues that most online or in-gym programs simply don’t take into account. We need fitness programs that are designed to meet us where we are at now physically, yet help us move forward to greater health.
Young trainers who have no experience training clients with injuries or health concerns, or one-size-fits-all exercise programs are simply not effective if you are over 50.
I work with individual clients on an individualized basis because I believe we all need - and deserve - some personal attention when it comes our fitness. I also work with small groups in assisted living facilities - including Memory Care and Assisted Living because I believe exercise is for everyone at all stages of life. It’s good for the soul as well as the body.
It’s my mission to put the “personal” back into Personal Training. My programs are customized to fit the needs, abilities, likes and dislikes of my individual clients, and, to the extent possible, I do the same for my small group clients.
Gaining and maintaining strength is critical for everyone - especially as we get older. Mobility and strength should be a priority in our fitness, and exercise should be - gasp! dare I say it? - fun.
